I chose to transfer to MediLodge of Hillman from another nursing facility because I was not happy with them, and I had heard great things about Hillman. The whole staff at MediLodge of Hillman is very friendly. They fulfilled all of my requests in a timely manner. They are extremely skillful and caring. The entire building is very clean; it really impressed me. I would definitely recommend MediLodge of Hillman to anyone needing skilled nursing facility services!

My husband, Ed Kreft, and I would like to thank you and your staff for the beautiful Thanksgiving dinner for the residents and family. We were impressed with how well everything was handled- wow! It was really well planned and the staff did a great job, from being able to handle so many people to the actual serving and the cleanup. We appreciated being seated in the conference room where our family could have a little quiet time to visit, especially since all three of our sons were here, plus our daughter and her husband. Ed was surprised that our daughter was able to come, and of course it made this a very special day for him. It was special for all of us since we would not have been able to celebrate Thanksgiving at our home this year. This was just perfect! We were amazed that with the number of people there, what great service we had! There was constantly someone checking to see if we needed anything. The dinner was beautiful, and we all enjoyed it. In fact, Ed even managed to tell us how much he enjoyed it, and that is a real plus because he has such difficulty expressing himself. He managed to stay up for several hours, which is very unusual. The staff greeted us and treated Ed as though he was just the most special person, which made him feel good and also made us realize how fortunate we are to have him there and cared for by such caring people. He loved the attention and all the hugs and good wishes. I wish I could name a few of the special people who did some of the special things, but I really wouldn't want to leave anyone out. Everyone did a great job, and the kitchen put out a beautiful dinner. You are all to be commended for taking the time and making the effort to do this for the residents and their families. A very hearty thank you to all of you from our family.

We chose MediLodge of Hillman because of their great Google reviews, and we have not been disappointed! They are a true example of customer service and hospitality. Every staff member here has been exceptional. Jody, the receptionist, is always on top of it with everybody. She has been nothing but kind and sincere since the first time we came through the door. She always greets my wife with a smile when she comes to visit me and tells her to take care on her way out. The whole therapy department, even the ones that are not here every day, really know what they are doing. They have helped me so much. Overall, this has been a great experience for me, and I am going to miss everyone!

Staying here has been a great experience for me. I was very happy to have a private room. When I was first told I needed to go to a “nursing home” I was very nervous and didn’t know what to expect. Everyone did such a wonderful job helping me during this crazy time, and made me feel very cared for. It is hard for me to pick one particular person or department that has stood out to me; the whole entire staff is exceptional from the managers to the floor staff. If I had to pick, I would say the nurses Kurt and Scott, because they are very caring and made me feel like they were both my big brothers. I will miss everyone very much! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this facility.

My wife chose MediLodge of Hillman as the place for me to recover because of location, but mostly because of the tour Karen F gave her.  The atmosphere is very homelike in this facility, and that’s the way it should be.  The scenery out of my window and the setting of nature here is perfect. The cleanliness of this facility is beyond excellent.  As a matter of fact, I think it is the cleanest facility I’ve ever seen, and I’ve been in many facilities as a visitor and even a staff member.  My laundry was always delivered in a timely manner.  I would give them my clothes to be washed, and by the next day they would be hung in my closet or folded in my drawer.

Every person has stood out to me and treated me extremely well.  I’ve only been here a little more than a month, and I feel like I’m leaving my family.

I’m very happy to be going home, but it does make me a little sad to be leaving here and not seeing everyone every day.  The Therapy Department was above and beyond what I expected.  I am grateful for the patience they had with me, and their consideration for my discomfort and pain.  I never expected to recover the way I have, and I have MediLodge of Hillman to thank for that!!!

Every single staff member has been great. They are all very empathetic and understanding. I haven't met one person who wasn't great. They are very accommodating. I will definitely refer people to MediLodge of Hillman.

This was the place for me because it was close to home and I had heard many positive things. The University of Michigan said it was a great facility! It was a nice stay and the dining room was great.

I'm excited to be going home, but I am going to miss this place---especially the company and the food. I am very impressed with the effort the staff makes to remember everyone's name, and call us by it. It makes me feel like I belong and we are all one big family. No matter what request I made, the staff always went above and beyond in answering it.

The therapy department has done a great job! They are the best I've ever had, and I've been to quite a few lately! I have other family members that have been residents here, and they've all recommended this place!

Everyone at MediLodge of Hillman has been great to me. It’s hard to pick one person that stands out, but there are a few who have. Toni, CNA, has an awesome personality. You can tell she is passionate about what she does and truly cares about her residents! Ellen and Kendall from the Therapy Department also stand out to me. Because of these ladies, I am so much stronger now. When I first got here, I would have to stop 3 or 4 times while coming down the hallway. Now, it is full steam ahead for me! I feel very confident about going home today. I’ve learned so much about myself while I’ve been here, and have such a positive outlook on life now! I want to thank everyone at MediLodge of Hillman for helping me through this journey and coming out on the other side, ready to conquer life!
