Pinning Ceremony for Veterans

My stay at MediLodge of Hillman has been great! My nurse, Lori, was always on time with my medications. She always asked how I was doing and showed genuine concern for me. The maintenance man, Craig, was very easy to talk to. I really enjoyed having conversations with him; he is a very funny man. The CNA, Mary, went out of her way to help me and meet my needs. And my physical and occupational therapists were wonderful. They really helped me get my strength back!

The nurses and CNAs were great and willing to do anything to make me comfortable. The food was great. Everyone made me feel at home. It's great t be here and the time just flies by!

This was the place for me because it was close to home and I had heard many positive things. The University of Michigan said it was a great facility! It was a nice stay and the dining room was great.

I really enjoyed the private rooms. I was here last year when there were more people, and it seems a lot roomier and more comfortable this time. I even went and sat out on the couches by the nurse's station. I will definitely be back for another stay.

I chose this center because of the great care my father received while he was here. A person who really stood out to me was Angie, from therapy. She was very patient, and she took time and consideration for her residents. Her personality was very bubbly. I have had both of my parents here, and this is where I would go if I ever needed a place like this. All of the therapy staff kept me very informed.

I’m a Christian guy, and being here at Medilodge of Hillman has been one of my biggest blessings! I am forever grateful for what I have learned from MediLodge. I have been here for 3 months and really got to know the ins and outs of this place. I admire the dedication of all the employees. Every single one of them is important here. Their teamwork is amazing, and I think they are one fascinating unit. God bless each and every one!

My wife chose MediLodge of Hillman as the place for me to recover because of location, but mostly because of the tour Karen F gave her.  The atmosphere is very homelike in this facility, and that’s the way it should be.  The scenery out of my window and the setting of nature here is perfect. The cleanliness of this facility is beyond excellent.  As a matter of fact, I think it is the cleanest facility I’ve ever seen, and I’ve been in many facilities as a visitor and even a staff member.  My laundry was always delivered in a timely manner.  I would give them my clothes to be washed, and by the next day they would be hung in my closet or folded in my drawer.

Every person has stood out to me and treated me extremely well.  I’ve only been here a little more than a month, and I feel like I’m leaving my family.

I’m very happy to be going home, but it does make me a little sad to be leaving here and not seeing everyone every day.  The Therapy Department was above and beyond what I expected.  I am grateful for the patience they had with me, and their consideration for my discomfort and pain.  I never expected to recover the way I have, and I have MediLodge of Hillman to thank for that!!!

The reasons I chose this center is because of this location, the conversations with other health professionals, and other friends who have come for rehab. The team members who stood out to me were nurses Sara and Vonnie- they were always willing to listen about our concerns regarding medications and treatment. The staff did everything they could to make Mom comfortable and to heal. The PR, OT, assistants in the wing are awesome, patient, and kind; that was very appreciated.

I chose MediLodge of Hillman because I have been here for short term rehab before, and was very happy with my stay. Every staff member has treated me very well. They couldn’t have been any better! The aides here are very helpful and have taken great care of me, especially Donna C. Donna and I just really connected right away. She is great at what she does, and you can tell she really enjoys taking care of people. The Therapy Department has done a fantastic job with my rehabilitation. I can really see and feel the improvements I’ve made since I first arrived.
